Well imo not very convincing. Another poll shows 49–51, but the election campaign hasn't even started yet, and 34% say they would cast an invalid vote in a runoff between Philippe and Le Pen. That is bound to change drastically.

It will be harder for edouard Philippe to make it to the runoff than to actually win it. I have no doubt that he would defeat Le Pen in a runoff. He likely would have lost against Bardella.. since Bardella would have attracted votes from some center-right voters as well.. Le Pen on the other hand enters the race facing significantly more reservations.
